Top-notch facilities and state-of-art equipments ensures the students to acquire practical skills.
The distinctive aspect of NIT is its well-equipped experimental and research facilities which each department uses. Such facilities promote our education on practical skills, providing the students with best environment for studying to become engineers with superior sensitivity.

Library and Communication Center
Our NEW Landmark Centennial Memorial Hall Is being used for multi-purposes as a forum for humans and communications
Our new landmark holds more than 200,000 books within one basement floor and nine upper floors.
Centennial Memorial Hall constructed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the school foundation is now our new landmark. It opened in October 2007 as the LC Center (Library and Communication Center). The center acts as an academic research facility holding abundant books and references, as communication facility equipped with internet, personal computers and AV systems, and as the forum for communications where classes, seminars and club activities are held.
Furthermore, there is a cafeteria where people can enjoy coffee and light snacks. At the multimedia room, lectures, workshops and classes using visual images are held along with musical concerts and film showings.
Students and faculty gather here to search and share "knowledge" and communicate with each other - the forum for humans and communications are provided here at the LC Center.

Machining and Processing Center
With the varieties of 70 equipments and machines, the Center serves as the training ground for the most practical and up-to-date technical education.
Various machining equipments at Machining and Processing Center
The Machining and Processing Center consists of shops for general machining, finishing and assembly, unconventional machining, NC machining, tool management, heat treatment and precision measurement.
As of April 2006, about 70 pieces of equipments and machines such as YAG laser machining equipments are operating in this center. Experiments and practical training on mechanical engineering, as well as production of apparatus for research use are held here. The center also responds to requests for producing educational/research materials and provides technical support at the same time.
One of the features of this center is that students are given unlimited use of it for their graduation work. At all possible situations, the center plays the role as the place where students are provided with unrestricted and practical education. With implementing new machining equipments which house innovative technologies, the center strives to conduct the most-up-to-date technical education.

Research & Development Center for Advanced Materials and Technology
With top-notch synthesizing apparatus and analysis instruments, development and evaluation of technology on new materials are conducted.
Auger Electron Spectroscopy Analyzer
Research & Development Center for Advanced Materials and Technology, granted with the subsidy from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, installed the most advanced synthesizing and analysis equipments to develop synthetic technology on new materials, mainly carbon-made Diamonds. Apart from its basic evaluation, evaluation on its applied process is also conducted here.
With faculties from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Electric and Electronic Engineering and Systems Engineering as its core members, a research group consisting of researchers from domestic and international organizations such as NASA is vigorously conducting research and development to link such technology to a much more improved nano-technology.

Ultra High Voltage Laboratory
Experimental research center on Impulse Voltage with highest level of capability among Japanese universities
simulation of thunderbolt
The center has been energetically conducting research in developing and improving impulse high voltage/high current measurement technology. And such technology has been esteemed as the highest level in this field. In 1999, the laboratory succeeded in establishing Impulse Measurement System of national standard. With such system lying on the top, a plan to establish a calibration pyramid consisting of major domestic heavy electric machinery manufacturers is in progress among the industry-government -academia collaboration. Furthermore, the center houses impulse voltage generator that generates up to 3 million volts which is the highest among universities in Japan. Various advanced high-voltage measurement instruments are available to measure such high voltage accurately. In addition, the center also houses low voltage facilities that meets the standard level of other calibration institutions and measurement instrument manufacturers.
